From June, 29th to September, 28th, the average people that we are will be able to visit the Fort Brégançon, close to Bormes Les Mimosas. The Fort became a presidential residence in 1968 and all the presidents from then came during the summer.
First there was Charles de Gaulle who spend only one night and kept a bad memory of it as he has been assailed with mosquitoes and slept in a bed too short for him ! After, Georges Pompidou and Valérie
Giscard d’Estaing spend their vacations there. François
Mitterrand didn't like the place and Jacques Chirac has been photographed with his (now famous) sandals wore with socks ! Nicolas Sarkozy prefered to work there and François Hollande hasn't come since 2012.
History lovers or simple curious of the way of life of the presidents will love discovering this secret place.
