After we tried the Tini Bar, we were looking for another change of scenery a few meters away. At the 17th of the avenue de la jetée, we found a typical New York diners with a decoration inspired from the Big Apple Subway. The place is called the 7th avenue.
The waitress welcomes us warmly and presents us the menu that makes our mouth watering ! Starters, giants salads, bagel, hot dog, bbq ribs (too bad they were out of it !) and house made burgers. And if among the choice of burgers you do not find your happiness, you can compose your own burger just the way you like it !
Every week a different burger is proposed and thus we discovered " The big forest " : salad, tomato, onion, minced beef, cheddar, duck breast and a ceps sauce...sooo good ! The ceps sauce is delicious with big fragments of ceps, the bread bun is house made and soft, french fries are also house made and crunchy. We also tried the "Frenchy Burger" : salad, dried tomato, candied onion, minced beef, Camembert cheese... delicious ! The Camembert cheese is melting and does not take the taste from the other ingredients.
We only had one little disappointment at dessert time. The Blueberries Cheesecake was not enough creamy to my taste. But I must confess that except at Berko in Paris I still haven't found the same taste of the excellent Cheesecake Factory...not to mention the size !
A good address to keep.
By the way, I almost forgot to say that the 7th avenue serves a brunch every day of the week till 1:00pm ! Let's have a try !
