Would you like a good house made icecream on the Port of Toulon ?

I do not count all the times I passed on the port of Toulon particulary to go on the ganway of the Mistral boats. Passing always through the same places you don't pay any more attention on what surrounds you and that day, I don't know why, my attention was attracted by this inscription "Home-made ice cream" (glace artisanale).

Since I am wary of misleading marketing naming I dared to to ask a few questions and I had the pleasure to be comforted!

Laurent, the manager of Le Cornet du Port, tells me that his ice creams are made in Sanary by the Craftsman Chocolate maker Patrice Sciortino. This lover of chocolat and ice creams created Choco Glaces in Sanary-sur-Mer in 1999 and supplies the professionals in catering. As private individual we can also savour his ice creams and pastries in his store in Sanary.

These sherbets are " full fruits sherbets " (sorbets plein fruits), in France that means that they contain at least 45 % of fruits (or 20 % for acid fruits).

Thus I was tempted by a scoop of lavender flavor and yummy it was delicious! Sweet enough with a subtle flavor and not too much pronounced of lavender.

The distance between Le Cornet du Port to the ganway of the Mistral boats is just enough to gobble up enjoy this wonderful ice cream !
